The Indoor Treatment

When the temperature drops, our perceptions adjust. Winter is the rest period; most tend to choose indoors, inward, and intimate. No wonder since this behaviour is encoded in us.

We become the sensation shifters as the season changes and our bodies react to new conditions: what was warm no longer is; what felt acceptable is no longer sufficient. We select heavier foods from the menus with the hope to deliver to our abundant body energy and protect it from the cold.

Reserved evenings in winter should be the time of indoor recovery, and with the weekend coming towards us, we invite you to take the time to recharge, revive and stay far from the cold. Let's revitalize tired bodies together and bring our mind to peace in healing evening hour.

Vivify the senses, open the pores, and soothe yourself beyond the surface of your skin.

Make the bathroom your sanctuary. As the ancient Greeks, enter this sanctuary with sacred respect for your evening hour. Prepare soft cotton or bamboo towel, your oils, your scrub, and a bathrobe. It is time to unwind.

Entering this sanctuary must be a complete surrender. Leave all your thoughts out the door. Prevent goosebumps by not letting any drift or cold air in, and set up your meditation place where you can retrieve after your bath-silence treatment. Give to your body what it pleases.

Start by applying oil all over your body — use long strokes towards the heart on long bones, and circular motion on joints. You can use almond oil, jojoba, olive oil or sesame — no need for expensive oils. Warm up the oil before applying it by placing the container (not a plastic one!) into a bowl with hot water.

After the application, jump in the warm shower where you already have your scrub ready. You can use a bowl of brown sugar with a lemon squeezed in, which works perfectly. Use warm water to open the pores and with a circular motion apply your peeling all over your body, removing the oil as the ancient Greek athletes did by using sand. Do not forget your face, but be gentle.

Once done, do not use any soaps to remove the oil previously applied. The peeling will take care of removing the accessive oil, and your skin will not be dry when you step out of the shower. Wash away the peeling and wrap yourself in the warm towel which you left on the heating.

Ex Prūnīs Antioxidants Treatment Oil
Now when the pores are open, and your bathroom is full of steam, take our precious Ex Prūnīs Antioxidant Treatment Oil and place a couple of drops in the palm of your hands. Rub your hands together to warm up the oil — breath in the sensorial-rich aroma. Then, use soft pressing, applying it on your cheekbones, forehead, under your eyes, on your chin, as well as your neck and decolletage.

Proceed to your meditation room. Your body and mind are now ready for a brief meditation.

Sink into the equilibrium of your conscious mind, pausing your intellect and all the surroundings. Take a deep breath in and out and whenever your mind wanders, bring it back to your breathing. Relish the moment. Forget your faculties, experiences, past and future; now simply breathe.
